Latvian Illustrated Privacy Policy

The short version: the app does not collect, store, or share any personal data.
Latvian Illustrated (“the app”) is developed by DeepSoft (“we”, “us”). This policy explains how the app handles information.
Summary

- We do not use analytics, advertising, or tracking of any kind.
- We do not require an account or sign-up.
- All learning content is built into the app and works offline.
Information we do not collect
The app does not ask for, access, or transmit any personal information. We do not collect your name, email, contacts, photos, device identifiers, usage analytics, or your device’s location.
Data stored on your device
To make the app work, the following is saved locally on your device only (using the system’s standard preference storage) and is never transmitted to us or anyone else:
- Your learning progress (which signs you’ve marked as learned)
- Your bookmarked (“saved”) signs
- Your language preference
- App settings (such as difficulty filters)
This data stays on your device and is removed if you delete the app. You can also clear your learning progress at any time in Settings → Reset Learning Progress.
Maps and locations
Some signs include the location where the photograph was taken. These coordinates are part of the app’s built-in content — the app does not access or request your device’s location. When you choose to view a sign’s location, the map is displayed using Apple’s MapKit, and tapping “Open in Maps” hands the coordinates to the Apple Maps app. Your use of Apple Maps is governed by Apple’s privacy policy.
Checking for updates
When you tap “Check for Updates” in Settings, the app makes a single request to Apple’s public App Store lookup service to compare your installed version with the latest released version. This request contains only the app’s identifier and no personal information.
Third-party services
The app relies only on Apple’s built-in services (MapKit for map display and the App Store for update checks and links). It contains no third-party advertising, analytics, or tracking SDKs. Apple’s handling of any data is governed by Apple’s own privacy policy.
Children’s privacy
The app is suitable for all ages. Because it collects no personal information from anyone, it collects none from children.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update the “Effective date” above and post the revised version on this page.
